i'm getting a physical tomorrow and i remember when i was like 10 or something they made me take off my underwear so they could "check me" and i didn't really care then, but now that i'm older (i'm 15) and am self-concious of my body and i no longer have a female doctor, will they still do that?

please tell me they don't haha. i really don't want them to.

I would doubt it, especially if it's a sports physical or something like that.I'm 13 and I jus got a physical and they have never checked my down there. But me and my friend have the same doctor and she checks her down there.

I used to be nervous at first, but in time I got over it. They are professionals and I have had at least 3 male doctors down there. If you are uncomfortable, you can ask for a female nurse to be in there with you.

You will be fine.if you had sex before they do check and do a pap test to make sure everything is ok but if you havent then they dont check. if you have to and have a male doctor, you can always tell him you dont want a man to do it and that you feel uncomfortable about it and request a nurse do it instead.i got a physical, no! i would not let them check down there. lol. no they don't. it can't be a male doctor..only if he is the only doctor there..but there will always be a female doctor beside himsometimes they do but not always.
my old doctor did, but he was older and still believed in the old ways of medicine.
the guy i have now only does if i think i have a problem and ask him too.
if you are uncomfortable tell your doctor. Or ask for a nurse to check you if they have to check. they will understand and only want you to be comfortable.
