How come, while stuck in a car...how you say... u know when cars go slow, the line of cars next to you is moving faster?Sure seems to happen that way..and I've wondered myself.Only answer I have is that conditions out of view flucuate as folks weave from one lane to the next in search of clear paths..but the openings are temporary at best and actually contribute to slow and go because Driver A spots a 3 car length gap, thus openining a spot when he moves to the gap and Driver B accelerates to tailgate Driver C and on and on.Multiply that by hundreds of cars and your going to have the situation you ask about.Unless you know that you need to change lanes you probably just need to stick to a lane and be patient. You'll get there eventually.Because you have your emergancy break engaged. It's called either Murphy's law or Sod's law, depending on how you want to say it. It's the law that states that whatever can go wrong, will go wrong. :)Duh- you're in the slowest lane
