Feed back in Cobra S9 irons better than OSS slingshot?

Different irons are better for different golfers.

I always check out the MPF (Maltby Playability Factor) of irons when I'm trying to figure out which is better.

It looks like the Cobra S9 is rated "Ultra Game Improvement"
and the Nike OSS Slingshots are rated "Game Improvement"

If you're a beginning to intermediate golfer, you'll probably want more game improvement. The higher game improvement rating, the more forgiviness the clubs will give you.

If you want to compare other irons, you can download all the MPF rankings at this site: http://www.ralphmaltby.com/303

Good luck! You will be able to work the ball much more with the S9. The OSS slingshot is for the beginner golfer, who needs alot of forgiveness and less control. The S9 is for the more accomplished golferI have played Mizunos Cobras Ping and Titleist and nikes irons. Every body has thaere own opions. For my I will tell you to look into Nike procombo Irons, About three years old, the set with three blade three muscle back and two cavity backs.Slingshots are some of the worst irons ever made.Doesn't matter if Slingshot is for beginners or not. The S9s are actually also for beginners as they are under the category Super Game Improvement Irons versus the FP irons which are just Game Improvement Irons.

What matters is what you can make work for you.

In Golf Digest suggests that players should use the most forgiving iron in order to help your game.

My friend uses forged irons and wonders why he can't get his score down. FOR YEARS! Well, the irons are stiff, he can't get any loft and when he mishits he mishits. But he refuses to get cavity back and forgiving irons and for 10 years he hasn't improved.

Start with something to get your game going, then move up to irons where you can shape your shot better. I can hit the Cobra Forged SS irons great. But when I don't, 18 holes are long. When I mishit the S9s, I at least have a chance!
