im about to turn 16 in a week and want too get a tattoo wat is the best time to get oneWhen your an adult duh!!!!!!!theres never a right time to get a tattoo. although you might really want one now, years later, you're going to regret it, and it costs a lot more to get them removed than to put them on. you should think about it for a while, until you're really sure. i'd say at 17 or 18 you'd be okay to get one.Never. But a tramp stamp is free advertising. When you're not sick and not on any medication. Medication mostly thins your blood making it hard for your tattoo to heal. Also being sick puts you at risk for getting infections. Make sure you're sober so you wont get an infection.
Also, never go to a cheap tatto parlor. Tats should run expensive, you need to take care of yourself!when your folks are at work or asleep.
since your only 16 chances are one of your nimrod friends is going to do it with a homemade gun. im sure your gonna love it.1. When you have thought long and hard about what you want and where you want it on your body..... this could take months to years. 2. When you have a good chunk of money to spend... never go cheap with a tattoo... you will get what you pay for 3. When you have a found a reputable parlor/artist.... check out the place for cleanliness check out the artist's portfolio's.... check online... check everywhere and ask questions! Remember this will be on you FOREVER! 4. When your at least 18 5. When your sober 6. Again, after you have thought long and hard about what it is and where it's going and if you can live with it when your 60.When your 80. This way if you change your mind it won't be a long lived ordeal..........
If your going to get one, most places make you wait until your 18. Some will do it with parental permission. I have a son who got one at age 16. It was a memorial of his close friend that was killed.
I'd be very sure that I found a tatoo I'd never tire of and that I put it in a location that didn't interfere with anything I may want to do later.
I'd check out the tatoo parlor I used. Its very easy to get a staff infection or other things from getting a tatoo. So make sure the place is clean, the instruments and that your hands are clean when you care for it. They are very dangerous (staff) and easily picked up with things like tatoo's. You won't enjoy getting a staff infection either. Be wise if and when you get one.
A tip; Don't bother buying the ointment or lotion the parlor may tell you to buy to apply ti the tatoo, they fade them. They may tell you to use A&D onitment.... It fades them too. Use Lubiderm lotion. It keeps it moist, isn't heavy so the skin can breath, and it will not fade the tatoo. My husband and 3 of my children have tatoo's and were suggested to use Lubiderm and I can say it does seem to leave the best results.
Now think of getting a tatoo as you might a hair style......how long do you have it before it becomes old and tiresome and you want new??? We all go through phases so be very sure your getting something you can live with for life.
